About Me

Personal Journey
Welcome to The Middle-Aged Zebra, where I share my experiences as a middle-aged zebra navigating through life.“Zebra” is a term often used in the medical community to describe rare or frequently overlooked conditions. This blog represents the experience of being one of those “zebras”—navigating symptoms, diagnoses, and daily life with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and related conditions. I am both a patient with HEDS and a Nurse Practitioner for the last 21 years, striving to learn more about this illness so many people have, yet practitioners know so little about. Join me on this unique journey filled with insights, growth, and a touch of humor. Let's connect and explore life together!
